Local Transport in Ahmedabad - Within the city the more favoured mode for commuting is the metered auto-rickshaws, available throughout the city and suburbs. The meters, however, are not updated and correct fare has to be converted from a chart carried in the auto-rickshaw. Roughly, it comes to a little less than 3 times the fare on the meter.
