How to Reach Amritsar - The holy city of Amritsar is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Punjab. The city is easily accessible with all three mediums of transport via air, rail and by road. Direct flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Amritsar along with other international destinations are available easily.

Railway Station: Amritsar Junction
Location: Station Road (NH #1), downtown area
Services: Two Shatabdi expresses from Delhi (dep. 07.20 am and 4.35 pm) provide ideal connection to the city, besides other express trains.
Transfer: Tourist taxi, auto-rickshaw (both negotiable rates), and free Golden Temple coach service.

Midways: Numerous en route, past Karnal Sagar Ratna on Haryana Tourism's Oasis and Haveli (garden restaurant) pas Ludhiana are easily spaced and provide comprehensive facilities.

Bus Station: New Bus Stand
Location: NH #1, about 2 km from downtown and Golden Temple.
Services: Deluxe coach service between Chandigarh and Amritsar, and another to international airport at Delhi.
Transfer: Tourist taxis and auto-rickshaws are easily available.
