National Girl Child Day 2025

The main objective of inaugurating National Girl Child Day is to enhance the understanding of the injustices that girls experience in society, the privileges of girls, and the necessity of their learning, safety, and nourishment. 24th of January was chosen as National Girl Child Day because Indira Gandhi was appointed as the first women Prime Minister of India on the 24th of January 1966.

Why is National Girl Child Day is Celebrated?
