As instructed by the State and Central Government, All Schools, Colleges and offices remain closed on this. This day is also popular as Maharashtra Din among locals, Governor of Maharashtra is invited as Chief Guest for parade and celebration in at Shivaji Park, Dadar (Mumbai).
