Veer Baal Diwas is celebrated as a remembrance day to pay tribute to the courage of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji who attained martyrdom on this day.

Veer Baal Diwas - To mark the sacrifice of younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji, 26 December will be observed as Veer Bal Diwas. Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji, both aged 9 years and 7 years, were sealed alive in wall by the Mughals in year 1705. These two younger sons along with two elder brothers were executed by the Mughals. The bravery and ideals of Guru Gobind Singh ji and his family will be remembered on this day every year to mark their resilience against injustice.

Prime Minister of India, Shri Nareder Modi on 9 January, 2022 announces observance of 26th December as 'Veer Baal Diwas' to mark martyrdom of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji. Both young sons of 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh ji attained martyrdom after being sealed alive in a wall.
