Location: At the port city of Vasco Da Gama; 32 km from Panaji, 7 km from downtown Vasco, 30 km from Mudgaon, 50 km from Calangute, 52 km from Mapusa and 32 km from Colva.

Facilities: Bank and currency exchange, duty free shops, tourist information, hotel booking, restaurants and snacks cafes, car hire, telephone kiosks.

Goa by Rail

Location: South Goa
Services: 1048 Link Exp (11 pm/6.30 am) from Hubli, 7311 Exp (2 pm/12.40 pm) from Chennai and a few other trains.

Highways
NH 17 (Panvel, near Mumbai, Edappalli, near Kochi) runs across Goa north-south staying close to the coast; NH-4A (Panaji-Belgaum) connects inland eastward with NH 4 (Pune-Banglore).

On Mumbai-Panaji route, Chiplun hasgreat accommodation, dining and service station facilities. Southwards are bigger-towns like Udupi, Manglore, Kannur and Kozhikode.

Bus Services in Goa
Buses: Luxury Volvo and deluxe coaches from many places in the region cover all the major cities and towns of Goa with regular services. Private companies also operate overnight service from places like Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, etc. Most of these start at Patto Plaza in Panaji (Panjim).

Anybody can travel around in Goa easily as there is a easily available taxis, motor cycle taxis for getting around.

Motor Cycle Taxis: Licensed, though adventures, mode to carrying one person as pillion-rider. Rates negotiable.
Ferry: Flat-bottomed, best for crossing the many rivers.
