Population of Ghaziabad - Ghaziabad with a projected population of 1,910,118 is the largest city in western Uttar Pradesh. Sharing its border with Delhi (National capital), it is a part of the NCR. Ghaziabad is the second largest industrial hub in the state after Kanpur. The city is an major economic hub due to presence of industries (both large and small), administrative center of Ghaziabad district and gateway to enter Uttar Pradesh from New Delhi. Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation is responsible for economic and social development of domestic, industrial and commercial purposes in the city. It is further grouped into 5 zones - City Zone, Kavi Nagar Zone, Vijay Nagar Zone, Mohan Nagar Zone and Vasundhara Zone. According to Census of 2011, Population of Ghaziabad city is 1,648,643 including 874,607 as males and 774,036 females.
