Neeraj Chopra Career in Sports
- In his initial stage, Neeraj Chopra was hit by obesity and so his parents made him join Gym so that he can get good training and become fit.
- His interest in Javelin Throw started when he once saw some javelin throwers throwing the javelin in stadiums.
- He was later then recognized for his talent by a Javelin Thrower, Javier Choudhary. He was known for his 40 meters throw which he threw without any training.
Starting from here, he started playing many games and won many medals and got a good name because of his talent.
Neeraj Chopra Career in the Indian Army
After his performance in South Asian Games, Neeraj Chopra was offered the post of Junior Commissioned Officer at Rajputana Rifles. He was also given the rank of Naib Subedar.
In 2016, he was formally included in JOC, and he was given a leave to get trained.
Neeraj Chopra Achievements
In 2018, Neeraj Chopra was awarded the Arjuna Award and Vishisht Seva Medal in 2020 on Republic Day. He is the only individual to win a gold medal at Olympics in track and field events. After Abhinav Bindra, he is the second gold medalist from India. In 2022, he was honored with the Padma Shri award as well.

- He is the first youngest Indian Olympic Gold medalist.
- He made his national record on 14th June 2022 of 89.30 meters that he set at Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland.
- With a throw of 88.13meters, Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal at the 2022 World Athletics Championships.
- With Another Record Throw of 88.44m, Neeraj Chopra became the first India Player to Win Diamond League Finals title.
